Damnable Shortcut
I do not deserve anything
no one really does...
so stop the grouse and brag!
When facing block
neither jump over it,
walk around it,
nor try relief
for cheer can set you apart
from the worthy and honorable...
go through it with valor
but do not ease it
with any comfort,
for comfort
may be the biggest discomfort,
consolation may not lead
to illumination...
solace can be the biggest
uneasiness and drag -
detestable!
and
dicey knack.

Many shortcuts are hellbound!
Concise, yet very meaningful and helpful messages in this work. Certainly, not a scribble! Most of us look for comfort in difficulties by either resorting to drinking or other such quick fixes. But there are no shortcuts for wise men! Thanks Doc!

Absolutely agree that no person in this world truly deserves anything! When we honestly examine our lives, we can only conclude that we all are wretched sinners.
