They say the art of giving
is knowing best how to receive
I also suggest that part of the art
of giving is knowing what not to leave

Now surely we've commemorated
every conceiveable occasion in life
in gifts of every price and dimension
for each child, pet, husband, and wife

We struggled with just how to tell you
no one else will so we're doing it ourselves
We don't want any more knick knacks
..adorning our floor, walls, or shelves

We're totally completely out of space
with no room to spare anymore.
So please please give up your giving
of things for our walls, shelves, or floor.

No baubles No "some little something"
No mementos of any kind at all!
For god's sake, we're in here like sardines
with your "stuff" on our shelves, floor,
and walls!
