My Wife

I’ve never loved another
These many, many, years
I’m glad you don’t bother
And hold unspoken fears

You are my strength
When I am weak
And my life’s prize
None else do I seek

And in the dark
You are my light
When I cannot see
You are my sight

You help me know
Right from wrong
As life’s storms blow
You are so strong

I never bothered to say
My need of you my life
Happy, growing old and grey
Thank you, my dearest wife

Well written sentiments!

Well written sentiments! It's good to see some love poetry from/for those of us who are married. Great job my friend.

Thank you

Most often in our pursuit of our poetry we miss to mention our spouses.

Thanks for the appreciation.
