Luminous Eyes
The luminosity of her eyes
Accentuated by the trace of tears
Told much of her hope’s demise
The realization of her many fears
Of un-requited love given freely
Pure and clear as a finely cast bell
Higher than one can hope to see
Springing from an everlasting well
Of un-appreciative, selfish lovers
Each, who easily cast their spell
On the simple, trusting maiden
Who loved easily but not too well
The weight of disappointment
Did nothing to reduce her faith
That someday in her search to find
She will find a faithful soul-mate

Aw...=]
This was beautiful! Oh, I really enjoyed this...maybe because it's the story of my life...XD You have so many good lines in here!!! The first ones were fantastic: "The luminosity of her eyes
Accentuated by the trace of tears." Beautiful. This poem tells such a sad, but wonderful story of a girl's disappointment, but continuing faith. I love it. It's exactly how I feel in real life. Awesome, awesome job.
