Love at arm’s length
Some keep their grief in
Whilst others shout it out
Whatever you do, it hurts
How did this come about?
You can open yourself up
For your heart to cry or sing
Or meet love at arms length
It’s entirely your own thing
Is keeping love at arm’s length
One's protection from it's loss?
Not feeling love’s full strength
Won’t enslave you to its cause
Some try to plot love’s course
Others go where it takes them
Some ensure there’s no remorse
Others let loss of it overwhelm
Life will go on as it always does
In love you can make the choice
It’s only a matter of more or less
Shout or whisper, it’s your voice

Arm's Length
A terrific poem about allowing/not allowing the full experience of love!
Thank you
I've found that those who give their all have a chance of achieving true happiness.
But then its up to each one and their way of looking at love.
Thanks for reading and commenting

Love..
Love...and how we go about loving in different ways. I think its true that many attempt to protect themselves from it....Sometimes one must be brave to truly love.
Thankyou for sharing this,
Debs
It's a personal choice
Debs,
Thanks for commenting. I feel that people should give their all. If it fails, they can't say that they have not tried.

Are...
you in love or feeling it from afar?
Serious question
Faithsafari,
Your question is one of the most intelligent questions I have been asked in a long time, and one that requires a serious response. I am in love with my wife, the sensory part of which is related to the physical and interaction in this relationship. Giving, unselfishness, sacrifice, togetherness, and compromise at all levels are inherent parts in the mosaic of love.
It is at times when I am in chaos and despair do I feel love from close and afar.
It’s a good feeling and gives me hope and peace.
Peace and happiness,
Dolan
