Don’t Give Up On Love

Why do some live their lives alone?
No love equals its loss not to mourn
Or is the reason they remain forlorn
Believing they will find hearts of stone

Put yourselves out, you may feel some pain
There’s something to lose much more to gain
Let your heart’s song be love’s refrain
Give of your love, more of it will remain

For everyone - there’s someone for you
One you know, perhaps someone new
Once you adapt to this different view
Dreams you believe in will come true

Its laughter and sadness, its ecstasy
It will happen to you, believe in me
Not holding you down it sets you free
The state of love is the best one to be

Love’s been around a long, long time
In prosaic prose, free verse or rhyme
Dishes need basil, rosemary or thyme
Life needs love, it makes human divine

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme

Thanks Raskin. After all the way to a (wo)man’s heart is through her/his stomach.
Basil and other herbs are equally important.

Happy cooking

Thanks

Thank you Linda. I can't agree with you more. It's always nice to hear from you. I've been reading some of your recent poems and I like the new style. If your cooking is as good, you deserve at least two stars.

Cheers,

Dolan
