yet somehow too,
you're more inherent.

it's like your inner light
just got clicked on
and it's shining so bright
all the shadows inside are gone

i'm glad you told me how
this change came around
how vulnerable you feel now
and that all your defenses are down.

knowing that is helping me
understand this new you,
but i'm confused and can't see
yet what i'm supposed to do.

with this new you i am lost
i'm craving physical contact
and want to be with you at any cost
but I'm not sure yet how to act.

i'm trying to learn
a new way of being
together, but it's hard to discern
what i've seen from what i'm seeing.
