Meteorological Mirror
.
slow moving
cool air and
uncanny stillness
nearly stifle me
as i walk outside.
i hold my breath
to listen, but
sounds all seem distant...
nothing happening here
or seemingly anywhere.
but engines still whine softly
and lazy sirens resound
in the thickish air.
torrential drama
gradually subsiding
with steady, heavy
clouds, unsettled peace
healing the scars
of recent storms,
this feels much like
the eye of a tornado,
a meteorological mirror
of tightly twisted
emotional reality,
but this weather feels right.
it feels like fall should feel.

Hey
posted that comment twice and can't delete it so, I guess I'll just say how nice it was, again!
Sorry

Thanks!
Times two Kris!
A weather report
A weather report for the soul and in such tightly knit little package. It's cool to read you once again it's always a pleasure.
Thanks,

Dionysusofjune,
You are a meteorological wonder! I love the way you described the weather with mirrors. Autumn weather is tightly twisted. You are so creative. I truly enjoyed this!
Warm regards,

Brill piece and personification and a clever way of equating emotion and nature. I tend to find a gloomy fall day comforting when I'm down...
