Silence
Silence
By Debborah Jensen
Silence is golden, so they say.
Yet the toungue cuts like a knife everyday.
Venoumous spike strikes like a fang,
Hurting others causing pain.
Often in anger, the sword unsheathed,
Using words in defence of me.
When ones hurt, immediate react
is the striking with claws, attack.
Once out there is no retraction,
So silence is the best reaction.
Calculate the worth, like a general of tactics.
Keep your peace, keep cool, will always match it.
Silence a weapon of it's own.
One that will not backfire when you're alone.
No retraction, I'm sorrys, and pain.
I've got it, the lesson is clearly plain.
We have two ears one mouth for a reason you see.
Listen more talk less, let only love rule when you speak.
