I see you

I See You

by Debborah Jensen

Cameras at the stoplight,

Cameras in the store.

Now they want a peephole,

in my treatment rooms door.

Big brother is alive and well,

and flourishing it seems.

We all are treated like criminals,

our freedoms we do give.

Till every move is monitored,

every detail of our life.

Privacy a thing of the past,

in the name of stopping strife.

We may not be in prison,

but outside is just as bad.

The goverment involved in all our lives,

It really makes me sad.

Buckle up your seat belt, don't smoke

anywhere. Pay me half of all you make,

It hardly seems fair.

Constitution starts with We the people,

but really it's them verses us.

If you raise your voice in protest,

unpatriotic, is the word used to truss.

Where is the public outrage,

of freedoms we have lost.

When our children are our age,

tis then we'll see the cost.

Drones of government protection,

we have become, because we're apethetic

we are numb
