How about a date tonight he whispers in my ears.
He still wants me after all these years.
All day I think of what we will do,
Anticipating his arrival, he hasn't a clue.
Bathing, perfuming, candles and wine.
Oh yes we are going to have a grand time.
How wonderful it is for romatic delight
To wake with the dawn after loving all night.

It sounds as though you planned the evening out just fine and I'm sure that a good time was had by all.
One suggestion my friend, In line 7 I would change respite (which is pronounced res spit) to delight and then you will have your rhyme with line 8.
