The Bubble Theory

What are the chances, one in a billion,
That I would meet someone like you?
Until you were here, I never had heard
The “Bubble Theory” you do.

But now it all fits, this theory of Greece,
About split bubbles who seek
To become one again, to be come whole.
It’s words of wisdom you speak.

When the chemical makeup is matching enough,
When the bubbles touch, they are one.
They can burst out and pop, if touched wrong at all,
But together, the new one is strong.

I floated around ready to pop,
Thinking there was no such match.
I’d been damaged and hurt by gravitating
Towards bubbles that would only clash

I lost my belief in two being one,
In strength and not destruction.
And then comes a one that forces itself
Right in my direction...

I was very scared, having remembered
The scars that nearly popped me.
But next thing I knew, our juices were mixed,
And healing started quickly.

My bubbly skin being fortified
And strengthened by your touch.
A compatibility never known,
At first, seemed way too much.

If this is what just a touch is,
Perhaps the stories are true;
That of we joined together, then
We’d both be stronger too.

A larger bubble, with our mixed strengths,
Helping each other build.
I am do glad I met you now;
With you, my joy is filled.
