The Rambler

Enchanting, enticing,
Cool and inviting,
The bank by the ash and the stream,
Below birds that are nesting,
A rambler lays resting,
Sundrenched, alone in his dreams.

The trees and grass singing,
As the sun beats down, bleaching,
Relaxed in the warmth of his rest,
Under blue cloudless sky,
He lets out a sigh,
Knows that days such as these, he is blessed.

Miles from his world,
That is knotted and knurled,
With nature he feels so at peace,
Escape to the hills,
With no comforts or frills,
Is his valve for anxiety release.
