Somewhere
Somewhere in the night
A heart is breaking,
Full of pain and plight
At constant aching,
Hiding from the light
Hurt from all the taking.
Somewhere in the world
A tear is falling,
Rolling down a cheek
At heartbreaks calling,
A broken life so weak
It's barely crawling.
That's how it was for me
Before I met you,
Struggling with the days
I tried to get through,
Fighting with the nights
Until my rescue.
You held my hand
No questions asked,
In your warm love
I gently basked,
And slowly the demons
Came unmasked.
It's taken time
But now I'm strong,
And next to you
Is where I belong,
To me you're the 'love'
In every love song.
From years of wandering
Lost in despair,
You filled my life
With love and care,
I finally found
My own 'somewhere'.

Gooey stuff!
I am not usually into all the gooey stuff, but I have to say this is an excellent poem, I had better not let my wife read it or else she will be moaning about why I don't write things like this. Maybe I will just nick this and pretend, is there a copywrite on it?
Andrew
