Have You?

Have you ever had
A certain state of mind,
Where nothing really bothers you,
No thoughts or words unkind?

Have you ever felt
You're different to the rest?
Speak what's on your mind,
Get it off your chest.

Have you ever lived
Your life wild and free?
Totally in command
Of your own destiny.

Have you ever seen
A loved one slowly die?
Did you stop and wonder
Why you didn't cry?

Have you ever walked
All through the night alone,
To the bird chorus at dawn,
Completly on your own?

Have you ever hoped
Your world would change to bright?
A blast of vibrant colours,
Instead of black and white.

Have you ever wished
You were a different man?
To live a life with purpose,
To follow a set plan.
