Emotional Ghost

Leave me be,
let me rest.
Cast out from me
this hatred working at its best.

I used to be strong,
could push the clouds away;
but now I sit in silence
so the clouds choose to stay.

To hide in fear
or live in shame;
these are my choices,
I will not pass the blame.

Play from what I’m dealt
and cry myself to sleep.
Sit in the corner and stare
into a soul ever so deep.

Black is my hue,
grey is my shadow.
A soul screaming out in pain
too tired to fight this battle.

Where did it go…
the happiness I once knew?
It has forever left me
and I believe that you should, too.
