I try not to stay up all night
But I usually do when I write
I never used to drink wine
Now I believe it to be divine

My senses feel as though they are heightened
My mind as though it’s been enlightened
I feel so unbelievably intense and creative
My own energy no longer elusive

I feel passionate about many things these days
Even simple things like the Sun’s warm rays
I enjoy the breeze from the window while I sleep
And the smell of the night air when I breathe deep

I like to see the moonlight on the beach when I walk
I love when my boys sit with me just to talk
I can’t get enough of expression through the use of pens
Or experience enough of life through my lens
