*Flower Quilt*

*Flower Quilt*

Rows and rows of magnificent color, sustained by water and sun,

Large and long, through this flower quilt we run*

Beneath the earth’s soil, your roots flourish, grow, and grow

Above ground, your fragrance, your beauty we know*

Variations of colors, sizes, shapes, with a lovely smell,

A flower quilt, where tiny bugs eat and dwell*

Deep yellows, reds, purples, pinks and white,

Growing tall, happy and bright*

Soft, silky, shapely peddles, some of pastel,

Soon each fall, to bid us farewell*

Thick, and healthy, sharing your appeal,

New peddles open with zeal*

Flower’s quilt the earth,

Showing us its worth*
