Your towering built with rich green leaves
And the broad bright yellow flower heeds
To the sun’s beckoning and warm caressing,
Like a gentle lover in sweet surrender!

Heaven has blessed you with all your needs;
Like the morning mist to quench your thirst
The friendship of insects, the soft cool winds
And a sentinel against the moonlight spell!

The dampen earth breathes the fragrant air,
Which surrounds your heart with fullest care.
And in midnight silence, God fashions His craft
The dark-centered flower head, now full of algebra & art!

You’re not just an ornament akin to daisies clan,
My pretty sunflower, you live like an ‘amaranth’
With your generous heart you learn to bleed
To honestly offer your oil-rich seeds!

You’re a lovely flower in a cherished garden,
That catches the graces right up from heaven,
To live with mankind, to give a smile
And upon my wish; in this poetry reside!
