Seasons Play

Birds sing as buds spring
The farmer's field is thriving green!

Sunny summer I'm flying high
As flowers flirt with butterflies!

Crackle, crackle dry and crisp
Sounds of autumn at my feet!

Hazy lazy frosty day
You chilled my bones in February!

Nice

Nice work

You've used some very good poetic devices in this one. The alliteration and rhythm is perfect for the first two couplets, except for the "I'm" in line three. It seems to disrupt the rhythm and I don't think it's necessary. The last four lines I thought you were changing from couplets to an abab scheme, but was disappointed in the absence of a rhyme at the end. In the sixth line I might switch 'at' for 'down'. Again, the last line is disappointing, because it doesn't give a proper finish to such a wonderful write.
