haikus from around here
warm billowing winds,
through sheet of beige they’re flirting
heaping dazzling dunes.
roofs touching the skies
streaming cars in slow motion
oh, falcon city!
see friends and strangers
with impulse of peace greetings
through sweet native tongue
the east meets the west
cultures in acquaintanceship
for goodwill and goal!
oh, brilliant designs!
of cream of architecture…

Description of Dubai
Hi Claire,
I like the way you described this city in the five haikus you posted. I particularly liked the third one "through sweet native tongue" reminding me of the many malls and St. Mary's after mass where people of the same language meet, in great happiness.
Peace,
Dolan
thanks dolan
thanks for reading these haikus and your kind words.
Peace!

This was a lovely collection of haikus, each with a wonderful sentiment to it.

PS: You have been immortalized in my lasted posting "A Brief Peek Inside the Showcase".
thanks Pete!
Hi,
These are the things which came out of me while I was stucked in traffic and while seeing friends around here.
Yes, I read that one... Oh,.. I should've written (What a Write!) but i was still editing it when the comments go...i failed to catch it up so it went that way...
Thanks for having me there huh... its really good reading some verses describing these individuals (this guessing game of who they are)
Thanks for always reading my pieces and your comments. Honestly you help me to be careful and to scrutinize my work so closely before posting them here.
God Bless,
Clairejane

You could do me a big favor and read the recent haikus, tankas and sonnets that you convinced me to try. I'd love to get you take on them. They were a challenge but a fun challenge nonetheless.
Thanks,
Pete
I love each one of these
I love each one of these haikus, especially the first, I like the words you've used in it ♥
