Aloneness
ALONENESS
A frightful thought
A push to go away
For a soul searching plot
Disguised as a loving gesture
Sending one out into a new world
Where it can only hurt her
She muscles up the strength
Best as she can
She lost her best friend
In the heart of this man
She scratches her way
To become whole
Her joyful self once more
Never has life taken such a toll
On all the portals of her heart
Leaving all the doors closed
Step by Step
Day by Day
She breathes in the new air
In a place
She will not stay
For She was sent away
Against her will
For thoughts she had
That maybe
He did not love her still
Though thoughts occurred
She began to feel whole
She grasped at new ideas
Wanted to remain his
Forever heart and soul
Still, she's gone
Alone in her empty space
With memories of all the love
And pictures of his face
Now the aloneness
Becomes her companion
The doors to her heart
Remain closed
As she fights to get back
Her very best friend....
Herself

alone
This reminds me of going off to college, or of my son going out on his own for the first time. Finding your own legs and seeing that the world is not that strange a place , the excitement and the fears of it all. Well written !

Well thank you once again, it is encouragment for more writing for me which has been flowing quite a bit lately. The aloneness it reminds you of, is something I can relate to as well.
