Valentine's Day
On Valentine's Day,
I just have to say,
That I love you so very much;
Of course I often say it,
And I just pray it
Doesn't lose it's touch.
Know that you're adored,
And that my heart has soared,
For you have given it wings;
My love, I can't deny it,
Although I'm sometimes quiet,
But my heart, for you it sings!
A love song to be sure,
Maybe two, or three, or four,
And it will sing forever more;
For I love you to the core,
And more adventures lay in store,
For both of us to explore.
We'll die together in our bed,
When we can no longer use our head,
But our heart will lead the way;
Until then our love is true,
And so I want to say to you,
"Happy Valentine's Day!"

Re-post
This poem was written last year for Valentine's Day (2011) and reposted today. This seems appropriate, considering that my feelings haven't changed in that time, although the love that I feel has grown a year stronger (as opposed to older). Warmest regards, Chris
Chris and Mandy, Happy Valentine's Day 2012
Happy Valentine's Day Chris and Mandy,
There have been technology errors for quite some time on our beloved Poetry Showcase. Sorry, but the errors make it so submissions of art and comments are 'almost' unbearable. I hope they get the technology improved soon; it creates a heartache for us...especially on Valentine's Day. In other words, Chris and Mandy, I tried earlier to leave a comment to no avail.
By now you are probably snuggling in your heart jammies. :)
Your love poem(s) for Mandy are so tender. You are doing something very right dear friends...keep doing it.
By the way, my evening with Jane Seymour was beyond memorable. My daughters and I were able to speak with her. I made her a gift of poetry...and she was very sincerely appreciative of my creative gift. We bought one of her awesome paintings, "Gingersnap Rose", in memory of my Mom and Aunt that passed last year. Her painting is hanging above my little fireplace and it reminds me of the joy of keeping an open heart. I am glad we bought this picture because it will become a family heirloom. I also told her about my venture with a white feather too. It was a great blessing, I truly am impressed with all she does for our planet.
Well, you little love birds, keep singing.
Friends Forever,
Kathy :o)
Happy Hearts
Dear Kathy,
Thanks so very much for your feedback on my poem, and your kind comments - much appreciated. Yes, this site has been frustratingly slow, but it is still the site with the best poets and active hearts. Other sites may be faster, but they are 'dead' and cold.
Your evening with Jane Seymour sounds wonderful! How delightful for you and your daughters - an event to remember for sure. (I put something about her on Facebook for you today). Of course, making it all that more memorable will be that painting by her above your fireplace. You must send me a photo if you can. We haven't seen any white feathers since Mandy came across that last one on the steps at school. But I sure hope to see more in the future. :-)
Wishing you all the very best,
Your good friends always,
Chris & Mandy xo
