Forgiven

She has cuts on her wrist
Hidden, you would never know
The results of anger at life
She is now ashamed to show

So she hides her mistakes
And for forgiveness she prays
God shows her she is forgiven
As the hours turn to days

When she cut herself
She cut God
Which is why the guilt comes
Shying from the rod

But the judgement does not come
God has forgiven her with mercy and love
Blind anger caused, guided faith forgven
Justly ruled by God above

However, her light is covered by darkness
Surrounded by constant swallowing night
The hope of God is flickering
Her soul rekindling alight

Standing is a joy to her, fallen
For sometimes in order to fully stand
A person must first fall down
To be picked up again by God's hand
