A Toast...
We give a solemn toast to the dawn, the hint of wine sprees as we yawn
The August morning brings a chill, but only warmth inside we feel
Upon the sands our feets walk bare, tuxedos ruffling... winds comb hair
Still dancing in the midnight ball, with violins that rise and fall
Our ladies doused in scentful potion, their glinting gowns spark off the ocean
It's been a month here to remember.. not looking forward to september
The summer days from june to now, they've been the best i can avow
Here on the shores of morning's grace, i watch the sun shine on their face-
Reflecting smiles, through spotless glass.. i wish these summer days would last
