The Willow Tree
To and fro, to and fro
Gingerly, her leaves doth blow
So tall beneath the yonder clouds
Her wisdom stretches over crowds
A sturdy strength, that upward sears
With golden rings, that tamed the years
Below her girth...safe from the swelter
A vital friend, who held a shelter
And in her bark's.. an open slate..
An open page.. in still.. i wait...
For grace to form as letters bend
Until that day, i wait, my friend.

This is a nice tribute to a very talented poet...wish she would come back to the site...it was a pleasure reading her work

This was certainly a nice tribute to Willow. It truly saddens me that she left because of my efforts to honestly critique some of her work. It was naver my intention to hurt her feelings. I guess I was laboring under the misconception that most folks would like to know if there is room for improvement in their work. I am very careful now how I approach people. If you should contact her please let her know that I would never comment on her work again. She need not fear that.

I'm so glad that you stopped in and got a chance to read your own specially commemorated poem from a huge fan! And I'm glad Debs told you about it, otherwise i don't think you would have ever known lolz,., I'm glad to hear you're doing well my good friend, but once again your profound presence is missing from the showcase family tree,., very sorry about anything that anyone might of said to offend you and cause you to leave us again.
