Sorrows' End

The morning light you couldn't see, unfurls at sorrows' end

The shadowed fiend that haunted thee, can not be sensed again

Out in the pastures, where you lied, for centuries so cold

Inside your darkened fields, reside, without a touch of gold

You watched the stormy clouds roll by, with everyday the same

Under the shades of purple sky, so frozen in it's frame

Until a day, when mercy comes and breezes over you

Defrosting nerves that stayed so numb, flooding the vessels through

The weakened heart, subdued with strife, that had once beat the poorest

Is rectified with fullest life, enlivened like a forest

Within the docile fields you stand, awakened from the dark

Greeting the sun that shines so grand, hearing the singing lark

There's only tears of joy to cry, in lieu of sorrows' end

Cause now that it has safely died, can happiness begin

Nice Piece

Bryce,

This is a very nice piece about an emotional awakening and how it can brighten one's existence. I'm impressed.
