Son 0f the Sun

The moon had mated with the sun
And then, a new phenom'd begun

Peppered in sunshine, spotted with yellow
There lives a fat, round, yellowish fellow

Not really though, he's kinda pale
Like mother moon, a little stale

He lives far out, on the edge of the sea
Right where the sharp horizon'd be

Where man, and bird, and tree don't bother
His hair is spiked, just like his father's

He does not rise, nor does he set
He just can't make his mind up yet

His parents are always separated
One rises up, the next's negated

He does not know just who to follow
His life's so dime, his heart's so hollow

That's why he does not shine the same
He did not even get a name

His father's cocky, all abloom
His mom's depressed, lost in her gloom

He sees him briefly in the morning
Then sees her nightly, in her mourning

Denounced and burden with this strife
He sits and thinks of his own life

Out on the edge of destiny
Awaiting greatness, eagerly

To bad

he is so blue. Imaginative. Thanks for sharing. raskin

i like it

seems like your telling your own story from a distance, like you're looking inside yourself. at least thats how i perceived it. I really loved it.

Thanks...

lol.. No, not really about me and my life per se, although we do share similiar feelings ... I really just wrote this one out of nowhere. Sometimes you have to take time to be silly

Excellent!

I missed this the first time around! Love the opening lines, and the whole poem tells a funny story.
Thanks for the share.
