Here Comes the Rest of Our Lives
Here comes the rest of all our lives
Drifting the years
Emotion drives
The young and the old
Walking the granite-
Just who will stand, to save our planet?..
To straighten up
And loudly speak..
Return this nation to it's peak?..
Lord knows the Earth
Has seen it's wars
Slain barren, as the bleeding pours
We're stagnant -
In this century
We're not where we had planned to be
Those films that said
By twenty-twelve
That we'd have new projects to delve..
Where are the futuristic cars
The ones that dart
Beyond the stars?
And futuristic skyscrappers
They sure looked neat
Upon paper..
The olden days
Of long ago
Need all to melt away, like snow
It's time for change..
It's time to thrive...
Here comes the rest of all our lives

Glad
I'm glad you put this back on, and love the planet as much as I do Bryce! Important questions raised here, and you know my feelings already, that it needs people to act, and not just vauge promises from politicians. You may want to check out the film 'Shark Water' many interesting facts about the current state of our planet.
Take care,
DEbs x
I'm Glad 2
I didn't purposely erase it though, now i've saved it on wordpad... Yes Debs, it is time for everyone to stop the talk and use more action to elevate the world and stop destroying it! Oh, and i'll make sure to watch-out for that film.. i have been watching alot of great/ insightful documentaries on discovery and animal planet alike about our crisis- Thanks Again- BRYCE

Gloria..
Thankyou for your read.. i see that you'd rather live the beautiful/peaceful life near the wilderness((ala Robert Frost)).
I think it's wonderful to be able to live and observe nature all around you, it provides great things to write about ~BRYCE
