The sun now slowly bottoms down
Behind the jagged cliffs
The caves begin to stir around
With supersonic riffs

Inside the deep dark maze of doom
The bats flap out their wings
Letting out a high-pitched boom
Against the walls, it rings

Their eyes of red, flicker with dread
From off the diming spotlight
Their tongues stick out, over their heads
So ready now to take flight

A million faces look just like..
A cluster of Gene Simmons
But, i don't think these ugly guys
Will catch the eyes of women

This large bat screeches out a cry
And just before you know it
The ceiling plunges from the sky
A darkened swarm, down plummets

Ducking as the waves downfall
They stream into the twilight
Emmiting sounds of wrenching squall
Their blood-thirst hunger ignites

Ears revolve and nostrils twitch
For any signs of life
Their teeth are tingling with an itch
To puncture, like a knife

Any rodent, any cow
Is suited for a feast
Any fowl that lingers now
To quench their inner beast

Cautious...we rise...unto our feet
From off the cold cave floor
As last ones funnel out to eat
And have their taste of gore

So much relieved, we were not bit
We breathe a long exhale
Now walking towards the open slit
From out this darkened veil

..There from the cold air off our backs, bleats out a little squeal..
Another flock comes racing down, now heavy on our heels!
