7 Years and Counting
The images from seven years reel on within my head, with screaming fears and gathered tears, as countless numbers fled. A city cloaked in frozen dust, as sirens cut and slash- Police recruits and firesuits invading through the ash. I see the herd of men and women rushing forth to save, they have a faith within their hearts... a knack for being brave. Extended hands wave just above the fire so unyielding, as legioned bands head onwardly into the burning buildings. Dejected, as the mass conjunctured glass comes streaming down- Delusioned eyes engulf the screens, with unconsoling frowns. A country draped in silence, as the souls lift to the sky- A senseless rage of violence leaves their murmurs asking why... Resiliency arises when the stars and stripes there waver, a comfort tethered in the tragic tears that we all savored. It's seven years and counting through the ages of my life, and for it's vast extention.. i shall not forget your strife.

Bryce, this brought it all back to me ....its so sad, youve got me tearing up here.
To me, it is still so unreal that anything like this could have ever happened. Scarier than any movie ever.

Once Again
You've snatched an emotion right from my heart with this lovely piece. This is a timeless tribute of a poem that will be cherished for a long time Bryce. I can still remember the U2 concert I went to in honor of all the many victims of that bloody day. There's a reason why I admire your work so greatly, and it's because of your vivid heart friend))-kisses rebecca
Thanks 4 All Your Comments..
And any other ones that should ever follow after,,, but they're not for me, they are for all the 9/11 families who are forever grieving... and to commemorate all the brave fallen souls who have died and are still dieing today because of it. I wrote this solemn poem not as just another feeble offering of sorts that i have already given, but as a proud american poet » B.E.Coast
