Nights at the Beach
Summer nights out at the beach
A tranquil wind blows in
The scorching sands, that seared with heat
Now cool against the skin
Bonfires glare in crimson red
Projecting smiles on faces
Lightbugs
Speckling the baseball field, they glow
In greenish-yellow light
Blinking in circuit,
up they flow
On a cool midsummer's night.
Hours after innings' end
And stands have all but emptied
Atlantic Dreaming
I distant gaze out on a realm
That stirs the empty dream
I ponder journies from it's helm
Caught in it's complex scheme
I think of measures not yet reached
And treasures not yet found
The Poets' Pub
Gruff and subdue, I walk into
The boisterous Poets' Pub
So riddled up with drunken coo
A proud and sprightly club
Heels and wood-stumps toe the ground
With swift and giddy jive
Imprints
You've left your imprints on the heart
You fed and helped to mold
The purest love, did you impart
Inside it's vault of gold
You've left your imprints in the sands
That drift along my soul
A Zillion Blinks..and Counting
From time of birth, the trek began
And meter started mounting
A zillion snapshots of the world...
A zillion blinks and counting
I've witnessed joys within this life
I've witnessed tragedies
Sorrows' End
The morning light you couldn't see, unfurls at sorrows' end
The shadowed fiend that haunted thee, can not be sensed again
Out in the pastures, where you lied, for centuries so cold
Open Highways
Open highways streaming by, no limits to appease
Open rooftop greets the sky, as arms swim through the breeze
Dark ripples flicker through her hair, in rhythmic wavy jive
Cloud 9
I've never been this close to the sun before,
or felt the true splendor of it's passionate gaze
Nor, drawn a breath more rich with life
flooding my lungs this way
Siblingship
Amber Lynn, she's quite a fin
We get into our squabbles
But she's to me, just like a twin
Our kinship never wobbles
David Micheal, he's a cycle
Nettling all year long
In Your Time
If I do not get the chance
To say these words again
I'll take this moment in advance
Before my heart gives in--
I'm very privileged to have lived
And reveled in your time
O Summer Heat
O summer heat, that feels so neat
And stifles me, complete
How you makeup for all the sweat
And money I excrete
O summer heat, that looks, a treat
With babes, I come to meet
BedRock
The town of Bedrock, lays out on
A twelve by twelve foot spread
Situated, square upon
The surface of my bed
Population....varies oft
Tonight, it's all of three
From the Shadows of Your Wings
Out from the shadows of your wings
I felt the sun unfurl
A different feeling kindled, when
I looked out on the world
The western winds, so sweetly sang
And breezed across the fields
Down-2-Earth
Beautiful spirit, rich with light
So kindred and down-to-earth
Here in your presence, everlong
Filling me up with mirth
Armed with a therapeutic smile
That heals wounds of me
