Moments Of Pleasure
Moments Of Pleasure
I sat quiet in the greenhouse,
Overlooked the garden,
A fox came to the window,
So close that I could touch him,
The garden was alive,
With conflicting sounds of nature,
The Forsythia vivid yellow shone,
In spring season early thrust,
The muted sound of thunder,
Sent the wildlife seeking shelter,
Large pleasantly warm raindrops,
Bombard the petalled flowers,
Sparrows land, splashing bathing,
In new created rainpools,
My cat Spike is quite content,
To watch the birds at play,
Storm clouds gather quickly,
But soon go hurrying by,
To be replaced with rainbows,
In the sparkling now sunlit sky,
These times are rare relaxing,
It is impossible to measure,
The satisfaction contentment given,
In serene moments of pleasure.
