The daily routine,
The unending roles.
The burden of
Carrying another’s
Soul. Will
This parasitic
Creature no
Larger than a
Pea at last be the
Undoing of me?
Will it take from
Me all that
I have gained?
And to whom
Do I have
To blame?
Myself for that
One pill
I May have missed or
The fates for
Making my pain
Their bliss.
How can something
So minuscule
Barely a speck
Have this much
Of an effect.
Will the power
I worked so
Hard to achieve
Also be taken
away from me?

Talking about an almost heart attack!
when I first read this poem, I thought I was going to be a DADDY! Whew, it was just creative license at work! (and how CREATIVE it is!) I don't know if that comment was for myself or Ron if for the latter then don't let him fool ya he wasn't crying. If for me then I wasn't crying either I wrote that to get a rise out of my family and friends and boy did it ever work Ron was overjoyed and my daughter wanted to kill me. The joke did however backfire on me for now I am going to be a grandma in about seven months. Yay me no crying at all here
