As the old cowboy’s grandchildren
Sat around the camp fire
Watching the flickering light
With there eyes aglow
And filled with wondrous delight
The old cowboy
Told stories of faraway places
He told them of the time
When the world was new
And tells the children
Of the ascent of man
There eyes were open
To what he was telling them about
Right and wrong
He told them about
The two beasts within
Named Evil and Greed
And about their insatiable needs
Then one of the children asked
“Grandfather which one will win”?
The old cowboy just smiled and said,
“The one that you feed”.
