Heart Mender

Tears and despair, She wore on her face
Softly she whispered, In a tone of lost hope.
She gave to me, Her broken heart
Dropping the pieces Gently in my hands
Asking me, Heart Mender, She said unto me
Your my last chance, In all my disparity
I've tried Heart Mender, This heart is so broke,
All these little pieces, Just won't stay put.
Please Heart mender, Work magic for me
If not, I will no longer be.
Oh Heart Mender, My time is so few
Mend my heart, And make it so new.
I looked at these pieces, And broken they were
All cracked and worn, From crushed hopes and dreams.
It saddened me, To see this woman cry
I imagined, All the hurt she survived.
I said to her, Don't be so lost
Broken hearts, We're meant to grow strong
They may be burden, Breaks and cracks
Which teach the soul, Compassion and love.
So don't be weary, I'll grace them with my own tears
Which will mend them together, And last you for years.
And as the heart sealed, And started to glow
The woman’s worries, Where hers no more.
I handed her, A new shiny heart that gleamed
As it was filled with more hope.
She smiled, Oh how long it had been
To have hope and love
Once again.
