Blackbird Foreverland
Crystal blue eyes hide blindly
Behind the merciless eclipse
Caressing the empty words
Upon his empty lips.
Tender heart surrenders,
Setting blackbird free.
She says, fly away bird,
For this was meant to be.
Love fills an empty heart,
Suppressing any doubt
But blackbird swoops right in,
And pecks it all back out.
Red eyes puts on a façade;
Destinies intertwined
The cloud cover begins to part,
Letting him see the hurt behind.
She watches the whispers come
In their apologetic defense
She searches for her blue eyes,
But the clouds become intense.
An empty heart is full
Of a deep, lying abyss
Blue eyes grabs her hand and pulls,
Persuading the sickly bliss.
Brown eyes reaches out to her
And pulls her from the bay.
He wraps his arms around her,
And whispers, it’s okay.
She looks him in the eyes
And sees blackbird staring back.
She screams out in surprise,
Surrounded by the black.
The loving face turns sad
She flashbacks to before
She turns away to hide the hurt,
Her and blackbird, forevermore.
