Romance

Romance

The candle has gone out,
My dream's deceived by fate,
I'm standing at the bound
Of 'then' and 'now',
But it's too late
To turn back,
Walking on the edge of razorblade.
Eternity is close,
It knows no time,
But through each silent night
I hear your voice
Implore "Don't die..."

The moonlight brings the charm
To tears in my eyes
Each time I come to wait for you
Beneath my fallen skies.
You're safe here in my arms,
My lips explore your skin
That's soaked in the air
Of my love that we breathe in.
But then the morning comes -
I wish I'd never wake.
I'll reach you now,
My far-off star,
Whatever it takes.

Appease my each heartfret
And close my swollen eyes
Don't let me see my sky ruined again,
Just not tonight.
I'm water, you're fire,
And we're one silent force.
We dream and know that conspires
The universe
To make it happen, and we are
The universe.

Romance Part Two (Hourglass)

The pages of the years
Are crying of the same;
Each word - each silent sound reminds of you,
I'm counting days
By just extracting from dimension 'love'
Dimension 'pain'.

And I'll forget you, love
Just when a blind man draws
One sound on the non-existing wall,
One of a rose
That's falling quietly on the castle's floor,
No longer whole.

Through all the darkest nights
I'll have your worst nightmares,
I'll be your one eternal candle's light,
I'm always there -
We breathe the same and so much filled with love
October air.

And when the ages die,
The broken hourglass -
The symbol of the battle 'Love and Time'-
Will speak of us.
The world, no longer knowing what is love,
Will speak of us.

wow

this is really good, well expressed, content and flow are very easy to read. Lovely. I especially liked the part of water and fire I like to think that fire heats water as long as it is contained it works, but fire needs to be contained as well. It's interesting to think about. Your poem brought that to my mind. raskin
