Our Mask... by Amir Timur

Our Mask…
By

A table for two and we sat,
Elaborating over things, a past of neglect.
If time would have given us better,
No time really did not matter…
To masquerade love is a horrific mask!
Shame upon those that copulate in this task…

To pretend to love is as hollow as some trees,
Placing kisses upon kisses in abnormalities.
Yet to stumble upon a false climax…
No love here just plain empty sex!
But yet we sit at a table for two-
Just two people in a empty room…

Yet looking out the window wanting to be free-
To find a good lover beneath the false iniquities!
Oh in our minds we never share the truth-
That our love is nothing really its leading to abuse.
To masquerade love is a horrific mask!
Shame upon us to copulate in a beautiful task…

The days go by with little or nothing to say-
In ways of imparting love we live in shades of grey.
Wanting to say farwell but ashamed of being alone…
Hollow inside as we sit in a empty home.
Empty with no love as we plea for another…
To arouse our spirits-tangled under the covers.

Can I really say you are my lover throughout these plights?
My lover that longs for me throughout your days and nights?
I would have been your lover endlessly,
But you have placed my heart in mediocrity…
To masquerade love is a horrific mask!
Copulating under false appreciation, a dangerous task…

Give of yourself all or nothing as we sit in this gloom,
Two people at a table sitting in a empty lifeless room.
For it would be better to find your hearts desire-
Than to be with someone posing as a liar.
Whether you be poor or rich,
To have and be with someone you love is a heavenly bliss.

Don’t masquerade your love wearing a false mask…
Be in love and make love for all is given-nothing to be asked.
You will be two people sitting at a table,
Contemplating love-ready willing and capable!
No longer hiding behind artificial intelligence.
You will find each other-with just a simple glance!

Having real love is more than a mere chance...
To have a real lover a real friend comes without,
The horrors of wearing a mask!
