My Family The Poets…

As a writer and even a poet,
Words come so randomly,
That at times we don’t even know it-
Words that are filled with love;
Pain, joy and laughter.
Words that are fiery, often for better.
But having the ability to scribe words…
Are more than blessings, hence short versus.
Filled with all kinds of life lessons.

To all the poets that exist a standing ovation,
Because with your thoughts and versus…
You keep life simply with your radiant thoughts!
And no matter how soft or rigid your words;
Are often heard and felt as you echo through-
Space and time, someone will see that we are more…
Than mere structured rhymes, stanza’s or haikus.
We are a culture that can make sense of it all…
Right to a beautiful, short and outlined verse.

At the end they all will know that the pen is;
Mightier than the sword, for generations will always read.
About the poets and how they made life simple,
In ways that changed life with the stroke of a pen…
In ways that made the complex so easy to comprehend.
I will keep writing; this is the intelligent fight…
To write the wrongs in civility and personally the contrite!
So accolades to all that scribe as poet's, young and old;
We write to the world for it can be written with humility!
In the form of a concise verse… Better and even bold.
