My Beloved Friends... by Amir Timur

My Beloved Friends…
By
Amir Timur

The sunlight on my face,
Radiate and hot…
The coolness so desired-
But my skin was burning a lot.

Though many walked by, why?
Has the sight of me, become…
So, that I can’t find a friend?
I reach for a hand, amidst my cry.

A friend came indeed, a friend…
From a different walk of life-
And as I became strong from the hand;
That saved me, I promise to have friends…

No matter my destiny, to be alone…
Is like the rays of the sun, burning skin;
That never are we alone, extend for a friend.
Somehow, some way, a friend will show…

Don’t be foolish to believe, that its based,
On color, class or creed, a friend is there…
No matter what you go through, they will care!
For today I have friends in all walks of life,

That simply remind me of the cool hand…
That saved my burning skin, from being hot,
And I have learned a lot, to share words…
Simply by using my pen, and I thank you a lot…

For being there to encourage me, to give,
Love in the form of words, and how to use the pen.
I wish you were still here with me, but I write with love.
For you showed me the meaning of a poet, my great friend.
