A Lil' Bit Older
A Lil' Bit Older

Sometimes life will bring us
Joy as our salvation,
Oh how I long for you-
My lover in all my meditations,
The ability to talk with you,
To share my words-
And even my expressions,
Something has come over me too.
In ways that I could never shake lose.
The feelings I have,
The desires that seem to come-
To surface oh how I long for your muse…
To sit hold your hand in mine,
Sip a glass of chardonnay-
Of a particular kind,
As you place your feet.
Upon my lap and-
I massage your toes.
To the sounds of spyro gyro…
You know our favorite song,
And slowly we will dance.
As I place my hand tight…
Around your waist.
What a time my lover.
What a time I shall say.
In remembering you…
All I have left are memories-
Of us two, oh the moments!
You know they come and go,
But the longing as not gone,
Even though we sit-
Now a little bit older,
Alright very much older,
The times that we have made together,
Oh my Lord we have weathered.
So many different storms!
And you made your loving-
Good for me, especially,
Made for me to hold on to constantly.
And we did with such elegance.
And grace, from nothing…
We came together with something.
We gained a love affair that seem-
To last forever, a love so succeeding!
Sure we had our heart aches to bear,
But we hung in there with simple love and care.
So as I sit grey and old I pledge-
My love to you my dear my beautiful wife…
Thanks for holding on,
To the part of me that will never age-
But will always get better,
My heart my love, a heart you changed.
My heart that you have filled,
With your womanly pleasures.
Memories of you that never fade away-
To me when I see you they only get better.
Even though I am a little tired a little bolder.
I enjoy the love and memories we have made...
We can share through this life of joy and pain!
Although, we are both, just a lil' bit older...
