Dear sun

Dear sun-

Broken vision in the pail moonlight,
Looking to the stars to gain some sight.
One small light, so small and dim leads her to were from her pain she will be free once again.
She remembers when the light was a sun she remembers when to her he was the only one. But then how he ripped it apart,
Everything they had built from the start.
How he tore it all away from her and let the darkness fall upon her.
Now all she has left are the memories and pieces of her broken heart lying on the floor
All used to be's, what could have been's, what should have been more.
She cries wondering why her heart isn't worthy of his love anymore.

Chorus:

She cries feeling so alone,
All she every wanted was a true hope.
She wonders why things have to work so painfully
Why she can never do things the right way.
She looks to the sky she pick's up the knife,
And decides death is better than life.
Her only escape.

He wakes up cold in his sweat,
He looks within the darkness see's only one dim light shining within the vacant sky.
He remembers all the memories and all that was said.
He decides to call her on that very same dreadful night,
He calls but gets no answer his heart becomes filled with fright.
He goes to see her following the dim light.
He opens the door and see's her laying on the floor her hand clutching the knife
He falls to his knees in dismay at the sight.
He moves the hair from her face and kisses her softly with tears of regret and sorrow running down his broken face. He lifts his head slowly and looks at her he see's a note in her hand with her knife and sits frozen reading what it said.

"Dear sun, you were my light, the love of my life.
The only light bright enough to keep me alive.
But for you I cried. And now for you I have died.
I love you so very much but this was the only way that you would ever see.
I pray you forgive me for leaving so very soon but in this life I felt my soul was doomed."

He lays besides her shaking in shock and angrily screams to the night.

Chorus:

He cries feeling so alone,
All he every wanted was a true hope.
He wonders why things have to work so painfully
Why he can never do things the right way.
He looks to the sky he pick's up the knife,
And decides death is better than life.
His only escape.

Love or hate
Leave or wait
This world is cruel and unkind at times
Think before you act
Follow you dreams be true to yourself
And always be there for those in need
For you might be the only escape or true hope they can see
You might help someone to see what's good in life and help them to one day believe.
